Chad Burden, BScPT

Physiotherapist and Owner of Summit Physiotherapy

Education is a big part of Chad’s professional life. After receiving his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology from Concordia University, he completed his physiotherapy degree in 2003, graduating with academic distinction from the University of Alberta. Since then, Chad has taken courses in Intramuscular stimulation (IMS), orthopedic treatment and assessment, spinal manipulation, myofascial release and visceral release, sports/neuroproprioceptive taping, running technique and injuries and education in fitting and prescribing orthotics.

Besides working in private practice, Chad has served at the University of Alberta Hospital and at the Alberta Hip and Knee Clinic working with those with hip and knee replacements. He has also worked at the CFB Edmonton Military Base physiotherapy clinic helping to rehabilitate injured military members.

Keeping the clinic running smoothly at Summit Physiotherapy is a big priority, but Chad still gets the most job satisfaction from being a physiotherapist. He enjoys helping patients get back to their lives working, living and playing pain-free.

Chad’s biggest goal at Summit physiotherapy is two fold; to give patients the absolute best chance at feeling normal, and to manage a clinic where all those who work here feel like they’re coming to a second family and home.

You can find Chad on long-weekends in the summer with his wife and three kids spending time at the family cabin in Saskatchewan on the beach and eating lots of ice cream. He also enjoys playing hockey, squash, and working in his yard.
