Lynda joined Summit Physiotherapy in December 2012 after owning and working full time as a therapist in her Edmonton clinic for 16 years. She has experience working in physiotherapy and chiropractic clinics and is excited to be living in St. Albert and building her practice at Summit.
Lynda completed her massage education in 1996 and has continued to expand on her level of expertise yearly by taking various courses related to her profession, namely: craniosacral therapy, reflexology, sports massage, deep tissue (therapeutic and relaxation), pregnancy massage, post-surgery techniques, breast massage lymph drainage post-mastectomy. She has many years experience dealing with injuries (work or sports), motor vehicle accident claims, arthritis, MS, fibromyalgia, diabetes, and other illnesses. She has also attended business college.
She is a member of and has served on the Executive Committee of the Massage Therapist Association of Alberta. Other memberships include the Provincial Health Ethics Network, the St. Albert Further Education Society and the Arthritis Society. Lynda has taught at two massage therapy schools in Edmonton and believes in the value of lifelong continued education. She has been a guest speaker/presenter at various women’s conferences regarding massage therapy in relation to health and wellness.
She lives an active life with both family and friends and believes in maintaining a healthy fit lifestyle through yoga and running (completed 4 marathons) among many other recreational activities.
Lynda considers herself very fortunate and is thankful to be in this profession and for the opportunity to meet and work with patients to help facilitate good health and well being. She is looking forward to and is excited to be your massage therapist!
